About the organisation
The Community Transport Organisation (CTO) is a small, and nimble not for profit with an office in North Sydney. The CTO provides peak body and membership services for community transport operators. We care about people who need transport to carry out daily activities, advocate for people who are challenged by access to transport and support the sector through information, education, collaboration and partnerships.
Our mission is to support all members to provide inclusive, equitable and affordable transport to the community.
About the role
The CTO has an exciting opportunity for a Learning & Development Officer to join our team.
This role will lead the development and implementation of the learning program for the community transport industry. In this role, you will be enthusiastic to put your stamp on a new learning management system, designed to develop sector wide capability uplift within an industry placed at the intersection of aged care, disability and equitable transport service delivery.
This position requires an innovative thinker who can develop and drive a learning program, has experience working with a LMS, can develop & deliver learning materials, and has a thorough understanding of the guiding principles of adult learning and professional development.
This is a part time role of 25 hours per week. Flexible working arrangements can be considered.
Your day to day will be ever changing, but will involve:
- Coordinating the onboarding of new organisations and new users into the LMS environment to deliver a successful learner experience.
- Provide first line of support for learners using the LMS, including troubleshooting, and problem solving.
- Understand, support and coordinate the development and implementation of the Learning Program and its initiatives and experiences in response to industry need.
- Identify learning and development requirements of individuals and organisations.
- Research, develop, manage and deliver high quality training materials within an online and (occasionally) face to face training environment.
- Identify appropriate vendors and partners to support in the delivery of learning and development initiatives.
- Reporting and analysis of the direction of the learning program.

Experience:
- Previous experience in learning management and delivery.
- Experience working with an LMS software and learning content authoring tools
- Experience working with Microsoft 365, Zoom, Teams and other video conferencing software.
- Previous experience working within the human services sector, CHSP and/or community transport, desired.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in human resources, training, education or related field.
- TAE 4116 qualification or equivalent experience in the training profession.
