healthAbility, as the name suggests, is a long standing, respected health organization who provide a wide range of health services supporting people to live as comfortably and safely as possible in their own home.

Our broad range of primary health services, care management and in home and community support services are provided on a consumer directed care basis and are tailored to an individual’s needs and with major hubs in Box Hill and Eltham, these services are delivered locally in the Eastern and North Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

The Opportunity
In home support workers provide a range of care and services designed to meet our clients’ needs and goals in a flexible and supportive manner.  The role may include assistance with personal care, home care tasks, meal preparation, transport, socialisation and other responsibilities.

Skills & Experience – We are looking for people who…..

  • Are passionate, caring and committed to supporting people in their own home to maximise their quality of life
  • Are able to assist in all activities of daily living- based upon the clients needs and goals- including personal care, domestic assistance, escorts to appointments, socialisation activities, meal preparation and more!
  • Are able to work independently in the community
  • Are committed to the rights and dignity of people
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have a current driver’s license & well-presented insured car
  • Can complete documentation of tasks on a smartphone
  • Are eligible to work in Australia & can provide a satisfactory National Police Check
  • CPR and Frist Aid Certificates
  • Hold or can obtain a satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Working with Children Check
  • Have a qualification in and a passion for Aged Care or Community Care
  • Comply with OH&S instructions, Policies & Procedure, ensure timely and accurate collection of appropriate data to meet relevant reporting requirements ensure compliance with privacy legislation
