Since 1985, Chief Executive Women (CEW) has influenced and engaged all levels of Australian business and government to achieve gender balance. Through advocacy, research, targeted programs and scholarships, CEW helps to remove the barriers to women’s progression and ensure equal opportunity for prosperity. CEW’s members work actively to realise their vision of a community where women and men have equal economic and social choices and responsibilities. As women leaders enabling women leaders, CEW’s 1000+ members hold leading roles in Australia’s largest public and private organisations.
  
The Business Development Manager will develop and implement plans for CEW’s portfolio of programs and services to meet financial KPIs and deliver growth and sustainability in line with their mission to enable more women leaders. This requires an in-depth knowledge of CEW clients, and programs and services value proposition. This role will work closely with industry partners, organisations and the CEW member and alumni community.
  
Reporting to the Director, Leader Development, this hands-on role will suit an experienced executive with ambition and the desire to make a big impact and enable women’s leadership. You will be able to identify and pursue business development opportunities as well as building and maintaining successful partnerships. You will develop and execute sales strategies, particularly B2B, but also B2C. This role will create campaigns, conduct analysis, develop business proposals, negotiate program enrolments, close sponsorship deals and steward relationships. You will collaboratively design and deliver an integrated Business Development Strategy and produce regular reporting and updates.
  
ABOUT YOU:
  

  • 6+ years of business development experience, preferably within a not-for-profit environment
  • A degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing or similar
  • Proven experience working to and exceeding targets for program and sponsorship income
  • Proven experience designing and implementing a successful business development strategy
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Skilled in prospecting,  converting and stewarding opportunities to produce results (no cold calling needed)
  • Able to produce regular reports and analyse data to track campaigns and monitor progress
  • Proficient in Office suite (including Sharepoint), and good knowledge of Monday.com and Salesforce
  • Demonstrated project management skills, highly organised, excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • You are a problem solver, a proactive self-starter, energetic, driven, and resilient
  • A positive team player with a hands-on approach Strong alignment to Chief Executive Women’s values, mission, vision, style and culture.
