About the organisation
About the role
The Luke Batty Foundation aims to raise awareness of and end family violence across Australia. Already, Rosie Batty the founder and CEO, through her recognition as 2015 Australian of the Year and her tireless advocacy has given voice to the women and children affected, and is striving to create a safer Australia.
As COO you will support the CEO in her public and strategic engagements, and the day to day operations of the organisation. You will drive the annual activities that dovetail with the strategic plan, developed by the CEO in conjunction with the Board. You will contribute to securing ongoing funding, develop and implement policies and procedures and oversee financial performance.
Ideally, you will have multi-sector experience, enabling you to form broad partnerships and influence policy at the highest level. Senior experience, in the not for profit sector is desirable, as is a hands on approach.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join an inspiring organisation with a demanding mandate. You will have the capacity to work in close partnership with a high profile CEO and Board, raise awareness of the issues that foster family violence and diminish its frequency and impact on Australian families and children.
