About the role
The Senior Accountant is a key member of the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Foundation’s Finance Team, which is responsible for the day-to- day financial operations of the Foundation. The position works closely with the Finance Team to coordinate all regular functions and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in the preparation of reporting and longer-range planning.
To be successful:
- Demonstrated experience in financial accounting specifically processing journals, reconciling, month end and year
end requirements. - Demonstrated experience in financial management of a large investment portfolio.
- Demonstrated experience with financial reporting requirements and excellent MS Office and Excel.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship building skills with a sensitivity to stakeholder coordination.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with a high level of accuracy.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work under own initiative.
- Effective time management and problem-solving abilities and working to strict deadlines and initiative and a proactiveness to workload.
