Vollie Presents the Rotary Youth Forum 2019

In 2019, the Victorian Rotary Club is shaking things up for young people who want to make a difference, writes Ellie Nikakis from Vollie.
Presented by online volunteering marketplace Vollie, the 2019 Youth Forum is set to host a number of influential figures in the not-for-profit and social impact space to engage, inspire and empower youths to make a difference in their communities. Keynote speakers Manita Ray, CEO of ygap, and Daniel Flynn, co-founder of thankyou, will be kicking off the event before handing the stage over to a range of leading thinkers and innovators practicing social good.
As part of the 2019 Rotary Multi-district Conference, the Youth Forum will take place Saturday 16 February and motivate up to 1,000 18-30 year olds to strengthen their communities. Run for the young people who have a passion for social impact and dream of starting their own social enterprise, the forum aims to embolden the younger generation to use their skills and drive to make a positive difference in the world.
“We have so many bright, talented and passionate young people here in Melbourne, and it’s our responsibility to foster those qualities in them. That’s why Vollie has been so excited to work with Rotary Vic to develop this forum,” Vollie CEO Matthew Boyd said.
“We believe that this platform will be an amazing springboard for determined individuals to cultivate their ideas, meet and hear from some amazing people, and get the ball rolling on their own endeavours.”
Featuring a range of inspiring speakers who work across a variety of community groups, not for profits and social enterprises, audiences will learn from the very best when it comes to creating positive change within your community. With talks covering topics from what the future holds, females leading the way in the social impact space, Australia’s role combating global problems and funding your social enterprise, everything a starter needs to know and more is covered in the one-day event. Speakers and co-founders from organisations such as The Last Straw, Who Gives A Crap and NAB will all be presenting on the day.
Tickets for the event are available now and start at $29 for concession early bird purchases, with normal registration at $49.
