New tool designed to support early-stage social enterprises

The Social Startup Studio is launching a free online tool and informational masterclasses to help start-ups to access critical funding and grow their impact.
The Social Startup Studio, an initiative of Swinburne University’s Centre for Social Impact, has developed a free new tool to contribute to the growth of successful social enterprises across Victoria.
Supported by the Victorian Government Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions, the Building Blocks for Impact Capital Tool is an online diagnostic tool designed to help early-stage social enterprises identify and assess the organisational foundations that are required to access critical social finance and funding.
The tool is currently available in a beta version, which is to be publicly released at the end of the month, with the final product scheduled for launch midway through next year.
To support the introduction of the tool, the Social Startup Studio is hosting five free online masterclasses for early-stage Victorian social enterprise founders, staff, executives and board members, which will provide practical advice on how to use and leverage the tool to successfully get their business concept up and running.
The Social Startup Studio aims to build impactful and sustainable social enterprises by offering evidence-based practical support. It launched in 2019 with a focus on early-stage social enterprises and is supported by equity trustees.
The Building Blocks for Impact Capital Masterclasses will run throughout October and November. Victorian early-stage social enterprises can register online.
