Charity partnership set to preserve Aussie wildlife

The people behind the partnership say it will “help create a better future for our kids”

Parents will be able to buy Australian animal toys for their kids while also helping safeguard local wilderness areas and wildlife for future generations, thanks to a new charity partnership.

Family-run children’s brand Tiger Tribe has announced a new partnership with the Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife (FNPW), aiming to support the charity’s conservation work across Australia.

Every Tiger Tribe product purchased — which include Australian designed and illustrated toys and activity sets — will help support FNPW projects.

These initiatives include FNPW’s support of wildlife volunteers caring for injured and endangered animals, its research into habitat for endangered Green Sea Turtles and Dugongs, and its Healing Our Land appeal that goes towards repairing bushfire damage.

Tiger Tribe co-founder Naomi Green said its partnership with FNPW was a very important step for the business.

“As a family-run Aussie business designing products for children, we engage and connect with kids, literally every day,” Green said.

“So it’s crucial that we lead by example and demonstrate to our young fanbase that habitats and the animals and plants that live in them, are entitled to care and protection.”

Fellow co-founder Anthony Green noted that Australia leads the world in mammal extinctions and that habitat loss was the single biggest driver of species decline in the country.

“This is not the future we want our children and grandchildren to grow up in,” Green said.

“So key to our partnership is funding for projects that protect and restore Australia’s natural landscape and safeguard vulnerable species. Together with the FNPW we can make a positive impact, and help create a better future for our kids.”

FNPW thanked Tiger Tribe for their support.

CEO Ian Darbyshire said the partnership would help FNPW to continue growing parks and saving species across Australia.

“Our country is home to some of the most important flora and fauna in the world and, together with our partners, we are working towards protecting Australia for generations to come,” Darbyshire said.
