“The board will play an instrumental role in making sure our news service reflects the real mood of what’s going on in the sector.”
Pro Bono News has appointed expert leaders from across Australia’s social sector to join its inaugural editorial advisory board.
The board will ensure that Pro Bono News meets and reacts to the varying needs of the communities it serves.
The 13 leaders chosen have expertise that spans the breadth and depth of the social economy.
As board members they will provide the news team with expert insights and inform the news service by contributing ideas and articles.
Pro Bono Australia founder and CEO Karen Mahlab AM said she was delighted that such an esteemed group of sector experts had agreed to share their time and expertise to help Pro Bono Australia in its mission to support a thriving social economy.
“The news team strives to inform, update, amuse, inspire and activate the social sector. To do this effectively we need to have our fingers on the pulse of what is happening across the sector and understand the issues that matter to our readers,” Mahlab said.
“Our new advisory board will play an instrumental role in making sure our news service reflects the real mood of what’s going on in the sector.”
