New learning program to help deliver on NDIS service demand and encourage sector growth

Whether you’re an organisation looking to break into the fast-growing disability sector, or one that already provides services but wants to expand, a new interactive learning program unveiled by Community Business Bureau (CBB) offers a roadmap for success. 

On offer for a strictly limited time, the NDIS Success program is perfect for small to medium organisations wanting to adapt and scale services, as well as for divisions within larger organisations wanting to fast-track their efforts to be NDIS ready and deliver on the needs of a growing number of Australians living with disability. 

The recently launched nationally-available training initiative has already attracted a wave of interest from organisations across the nation wanting to grow their workforce, expand services, and better understand how they can stay sustainable within the NDIS environment. 

CBB’s general manager, consulting and business services, Jane Arnott, said the introduction of the NDIS provided an opportunity for organisations to ensure they have the right cost-to-serve model, strong governance arrangements and processes that deliver against reporting obligations. 

“The NDIS fee charging model has encouraged existing providers to better understand their true cost of doing business, consider their business processes, and identify opportunities to expand. Others wanting to enter the sector may be unsure about how to do that, and our free program provides a framework for success,” Arnott says. 

“Our NDIS Success interactive learning program gives direct access to leading sector experts who will outline the critical steps needed to thrive and grow in this highly-competitive environment,” she said. 

With only 69 per cent of support available in NDIS participants’ plans being used, organisations wanting to provide quality services can be perfectly positioned to make a real difference to people’s lives. 

People living in remote and regional locations, as well as those in Indigenous and non-English speaking communities are amongst those who continue to fall through the support cracks – and the NDIS Success program helps providers to enter the market, deliver better and enhanced services, create employment and growth opportunities and operate sustainably. 

“We have helped more than 100 Australian service providers transition to the NDIS environment and have drawn on that experience when developing this program to provide the information needed to address the critical gaps which are most common across not-for-profit service providers,” Arnott said. 

“What’s even better is that participation in the program can be done when and where you like – because it is delivered through a dynamic combination of online self-paced learning, interactive webinars and peer networking.” 

The NDIS Success program is perfect for regional and rural-based providers as well as those who are busy trying to deliver on customer demand during operating hours, but still want to enhance offerings in their local community. 

What happens when you complete the program? 

An organisation that completes the program will be armed with the information needed to operate at the next level and maximise opportunities that come with the NDIS, including delivery of more services or having a wider operational footprint. 

All providers that successfully complete the program are eligible to apply to participate in the second stage of the program, NDIS Success Guide, which provides six months of direct business consulting support from CBB’s market-leading consulting team. 

The direct business consulting opportunity helps organisations take what they’ve learned and apply that knowledge in their own business. That is a perfect opportunity for an organisation to adapt and scale services which will meet growing market demand and transform its business.
