Entries are now open for the 2017 Workplace Giving Excellence Awards.
Now in it’s second year the annual awards recognise Australia’s most outstanding Workplace Giving programs and performers.
Run by One Million Donors, a social movement with a mission to sign one million Australians up to workplace giving by 2020, the awards aim to “motivate and instil pride” in employees, inspire stakeholders and “create an overall sense of achievement” across organisations.
One Million Donors said the most successful way to increase donations was for workplaces to match donations.
The awards are open in five categories; best overall program, best program launch or refresh (large employers), best program launch or refresh (small employers), best public sector program and most innovative charity and business partnership.
Last year’s winners included JB Hi-Fi, BHP, SEEK, Atlassian, Macquarie Telecom and Redkite.
JB Hi-Fi CEO Richard Murray said workplace giving was a “win-win”.
“JB Hi-Fi is built on helping – helping our customers, helping each other and helping those less fortunate than ourselves via our Workplace Giving program. As one of my team said ‘you can’t help everyone but you can help someone’,” Murray said.
Entry for the 2017 Workplace Giving Excellence Awards is open until 25 August.
