Not for profits and social enterprises are eligible to receive up to $1 million in expert IT and technology support free of charge.
The initiative, run by Tata Consultancy Services, will provide up to six organisations with IT services in 2017 on a pro bono basis in areas such as mobile, digital, cloud, big data, analytics, artificial intelligence and robotics.
Tata head of corporate social responsibility for Australia and New Zealand Karen Iles said the global IT company was committed to creating positive social and environmental impact through the empowerment of individuals and communities.
“Enabling not for profits to leverage our global IT expertise and further participate in the digital economy does just that,” Iles said.
Michele Adair, former CEO of Cystic Fibrosis New South Wales, said receiving pro-bono IT assistance from Tata had helped the organisation to develop a mobile app.
“TCS helped us to create a mobile app for young people with Cystic Fibrosis that will make a huge difference to their physical and mental well-being. We’re tremendously
grateful to TCS,” Adair said.
Now in its second year the TCS Collaborate Innovate Pro Bono Program is open to all Australian or New Zealand based not for profits or social enterprises.
Applications are open until 14 July with the winners being announced in August.
