Countdown Has Begun for Impact100 $100,000 Grant

Applications for the Impact100 Melbourne high impact grant worth $100,000 will open May 30.

Now in its fifth year, Impact100 Melbourne is a collective giving circle aimed at giving high impact grants to small organisations.

This year’s theme is education and the granting sub-committee is looking for expressions of interest for proposals that promote and support academic learning and are not vocation based.

These may include coaching and mentoring programs, homework and breakfast clubs, promotion of STEM, literacy, numeracy, music, languages or provide educational opportunities for people in the out of home care or justice system.

The sub-committee will review applications and select four finalists to present to a collective giving circle of 100 members who will donate $1,000 towards the $100,000 grant.

Since its inception in 2013, Impact100 has helped raised and distribute $400,000 in grants across the themes of migrants, homelessness, youth and education.

Past winners include River Nile Learning Centre, McAuley Community Services for Women, Kids Off The Kerb and Sisterworks.

To be eligible organisations must have an annual revenue of less than $3 million, have less than 15 staff members and be based or focused in Melbourne.

An information session will be held on Monday 29 May with expressions of interest opening 30 May and running until 23 June.

Up to 10 shortlisted applicants will be invited to submit a detailed application before four finalists will be invited to present to Impact100 members, with the winner being announced on 16 November.
