Grants Open for $1 Million AMP Tomorrow Fund
18 April 2017 at 2:56 pm

AMP’s Tomorrow Fund is looking for Australians who are doing great things in their communities to share $1 million in grants.

The annual grants program does not have any categories and is open to individuals of all ages, interests and abilities who are working towards a goal that will positively impact the community but need help to make it happen.

“They may be creating something special, inspiring others or trying to address a societal problem,” AMP Foundation manager Helen Liondos said.

“Talented and innovative Australians – or tomorrow makers – who are working hard to make a difference can apply for grants of $10,000, up to $100,000 to be used for a range of activities, including travel, equipment, study costs, research and more.

“AMP’s Tomorrow Fund was designed to fill a gap in community funding by helping individuals take their project or passion to the next level.”

Since 2014, more than 140 AMP Tomorrow Fund grants have been awarded to Australians in diverse fields, including artists, athletes, astronomers, social innovators, scientists, educators, disability advocates, technologists, filmmakers, fashion designers and musicians.

“It’s been heartening to see what people can achieve for their communities through these grants – from setting up microfinance programs for refugees, establishing a pro bono health service for homeless people, sharing resources that provide information on legal, disability support and agricultural issues, and moving people through art or inspiring them on the sports field,” Liondos said.

Applications close 4pm (AEST) 16 May. Grant recipients will be announced in November.
