Family and Relationships Australia’s annual conference in Brisbane in November will bring together leaders, academics, policy makers, government officials and practitioners from around Australia to explore The Future of Families: Preparing for Change.

FRSA Conference 2015, 10 – 12 November, Brisbane

Over two and a half  jam-packed days, participants will hear from more than 25 inspirational speakers from the Families and Communities Sector, including:

· Rosie Batty, Australian of the Year and Family Violence  Campaigner

· Professor Cathy Humphreys, Professor of Social Work;

· Charlie King, ABC Broadcaster and “No More” Domestic Violence campaigner;

· Professor Yvonne Kelly, Deputy Director, International Centre for Lifecourse Studies; and   Professor Alan Hayes, Director, Family Action Centre, University of Newcastle

If current trends continue, Australia can expect significant change in family dynamics, household composition and the workforce profile.

These changes, together with rapid pace of technological growth, present opportunities and challenges for today’s families, communities and service practitioners. Participants will have ample opportunity to explore these topics through the four Conference streams.

This year conversations will focus on how emerging trends will affect Australian families into the future:

How do we future-proof families?

How do we adapt services to meet future needs?

How do we future-proof family and community safety?

How do we address emerging issues and practice in Family Law

Don’t miss your chance to attend this key event specifically designed for individuals working with children, families and communities in Australia.
