The Not for Profit sector is brimming with innovative and ground-breaking ideas to contribute to the social economy but can sometimes struggle to bring these ideas to fruition, writes adviser to the sector, Jo Scard.

But now, communications agency Fifty Acres, which is led by Jo Scard and specialises in providing strategic advice to Not for Profits and social enterprises, has launched an innovative new program to help organisations hatch their potential.

The Fifty Acres Incubator works just as the name suggests, nurturing organisations and their staff in an intensive program with access to the agency’s expert communications specialists to help them with everything from strategy to PR, marketing, digital, management, engagement, design and technology expertise.

Since the Agency’s inception some five years ago it has helped more than 60 Not for Profits with their communications, media and government relations activities.

Jo Scard says the new Incubator program is designed to help Not for Profits achieve their goals no matter where they are on their journey or what those goals may be.

“We’ve worked with countless Not for Profits and social enterprises over the last five years from the very small to some of the largest international charities,” Scard said.

“So many of these organisations are just brimming with ideas and creativity – the sector’s never lacking in these areas, but what we’re finding is that they sometimes need some guidance to steer them in the right direction.

“We know that there is not a ‘one size fits all’ approach when it comes to working with Not for Profits. That’s why our Incubator program works with each organisation to develop a tailored approach that fits in with their goals, resources and budget.”

The Fifty Acres Incubator program ensures participants have access to the agency’s expert strategists and communications experts and can draw on its comprehensive resources including:

  • Strategy

  • Public Relations

  • Campaigning

  • Government Relations

  • Digital and Social media

  • Management

  • Design

  • Technology

  • Content

Fifty Acres is acutely aware that Not for Profits’ budgets are tight and that every dollar spent is one that’s been hard fought for. The Agency offers low-cost solutions and Incubator programs to suit any budget.
