NRMA Community Grants Open

The 2014 NRMA Insurance Community Grants program has opened to Not for Profits across Australia with ideas to make local communities safer.
The NRMA Insurance Community Grants program provides funding of up to $5,000 to community groups working in the areas of crime prevention, road safety, environment and emergency readiness and response.
Community groups in NSW, ACT, QLD and TAS interested in applying for an NRMA Insurance Community Grant must apply online at communitygrantsprogram.com.au

Since 2003, the Community Grants program has given more than $5.8 million to over 1,400 community projects across Australia.
NRMA Insurance spokesperson Tracy Woodley is encouraging NSW local community groups to put their big ideas into action by applying for funding.
“Every day, in every community, people dedicate their time and energy, working to make their community safer and more sustainable and we are continually proud to support these community organisations,” Woodley said.
“A lot of fantastic work has been done by our grant recipients to date and it’s great to see the
difference they have made to their communities. Last year we supported a range of projects including initiatives that work to reduce youth crime, improve bicycle and pedestrian safety, strengthen disaster resilience and minimising recycle waste in their communities.”
The program is open for applications from March 1 to March 31 and the grants range from $500-$5,000 (including GST).

Applications can be made online at www.communitygrantsprogram.com.au, where community groups can also view videos featuring past grant recipients along with hints and tips on preparing an application.
In Victoria Not for Profits can apply for 2014 community grants through RACV.
