The CEO of the UK’s Directory of Social Change, Debra Allcock-Tyler will be a guest speaker at the upcoming National Conference on Volunteering in September.

Allcock-Tyler is also the Founding Chair of the Small Charities Coalition/Charity Trustee Networks.

An internationally published author on topics including leadership; management, communication skills; personal development and time management, Allcock-Tyler will be speaking at the 15th National Conference on Volunteering addressing the 4 key themes of the conference:

Leadership –organisational independence; Partnership –choosing relevant and appropriate partners to complement and support Not for Profit organisations rather than using them as a notch on the belt ; Building – what determines growth and successes if they are not simply measured in size; Sustainability –making a clear distinction between increased funding and increased volunteering; when funding disappears, volunteers do not.

Allcock-Tyler will provide examples from the perspective of UK charities’ including unique challenges which they face, allowing Australian delegates to apply learning to their own circumstances.

The 15th National Conference on Volunteering will be staged in Adelaide from 4-6 September 2013 by Volunteering Australia, organised and hosted by Volunteering South Australia – Northern Territory.

Volunteering Australia is pleased to present an extensive program consisting of over 70 discussion topics and high profile national and international speakers.
