SPONSORED: Engineers Without Borders (EWB) has opportunities for skilled professionals in East Timor and Cambodia looking to take the next step in their career.
There are a range of 12-month opportunities available from water and sanitation (WASH) advisors to renewable energy course developers and computer science support.
“Taking on an EWB role in South Asia was life changing. The volunteering experience was meaningful and gave me the opportunity to help others, to learn so much, to grow as a professional and as a person,” returned South Asia Field Officer Jai Allison said.
The successful applicants will undertake pre-departure training and arrive in country in January, 2013. Applications are open until the 16th September.
EWB positions in other countries such as Nepal, India and Vietnam will be advertised in March, 2013.
EWB also has Field Placement Buddy roles available. ‘Buddies’ are located in Australia and are responsible for supporting field volunteers, sharing their experiences and connecting them to the EWB community. These are suitable for people who want to get involved but are unable to commit to 12 months overseas.
EWB is a member-based Not for Profit organisation with 10 years experience in creating change through humanitarian engineering.
