SPONSORED: Ansvar Insurance is calling for 2013 grant applications for programs that provide young people with ongoing education and skills which will make a significant difference to their lives.
“Ansvar Insurance is extremely proud of its long standing commitment to care, provide support to and encourage Australian Youth, the future leaders of our country,” Andrew Moon, the Chief Executive Officer of Ansvar Insurance said.
Established in Australia in 1961 and headquartered in Melbourne, Ansvar Insurance provides services to the faith, community service, care, education and heritage sectors.
Ansvar Insurance has created Community Education Programs where grants are offered to grass-roots community support programs that provide valuable support to improve and enrich the lives of thousands of young Australians so that they may contribute positively to the community in which they live.
“Over the past five years, we have been able to provide funding in excess of $3.88 million to 264 programs touching the lives of thousands of young Australians.
“We will continue to be passionate and innovative in the ways in which we will make a difference in the community and we shall act with integrity and responsibility as top company donor and will lead by example,” Moon said.
Community Education Grant Categories
Ansvar Insurance supports programs for Australians under the age of 25 which generally fall into the following categories:
- Empowerment and Education. Programs which provide opportunities to develop positive values that lead to healthy lifestyle choices and a positive contribution to our community
- Outreach and Support Programs. Programs that support at risk youths who are at risk or are already experiencing difficulties (such as drug and/or alcohol abuse) through rehabilitation and/or skills training
- Training Programs. For people delivering the above two programs
Ansvar says preference will be given to sustainable programs that provide young people with ongoing education and skills which will make a significant difference to their lives.
Ansvar Insurance does not, generally, provide grants for salaries or running costs or to the same recipient in consecutive years.
