Volunteering Victoria’s chief executive, Dianne Embry, has resigned from her post after nearly eight years in the top job.
Embry is said to be continuing to pursue her passion for community giving but with a new focus in the philanthropic sector, consulting with the Myer Foundation.
Volunteering Victoria says Embry has led the organisation in times of great change both internally and in the wider Not for Profit sector.
It said her dedication, hard work and passion throughout her service as chief executive, and previously as a Board member, will be greatly missed.
The Board of Volunteering Victoria says it has begun the recruitment of a new chief executive immediately. Embry will continue to direct staff and volunteers as they implement Volunteering Victoria’s Key actions 2011-12 and determine new actions under the Strategic Plan until the position is filled.
