The nib foundation is taking applications for community grants

The nib foundation, a Not for Profit charitable organisation established in 2008 by nib health funds, is taking application for its 2012 Community Grants.

Each year nib foundation provides up to $2 million in funding to support a range of National Partnerships and Community Grants focusing on young people and carers, with funding given to programs that provide unique approaches to improving their health outcomes.

Executive Officer Amy Tribe said programs will be selected based on how well they meet the foundation's strategic direction, the assessment criteria and available funds.

“nib foundation has already directly and positively impacted the lives of more than 26,000 people across Australia through $10 million in funding for more than 40 programs. By 2015, we aim to increase this number to 50,000 Australian lives.”

From 2012, funding of up to $50,000 will be provided to a maximum of 10 organisations to undertake projects that run for up to 12 months.

The 2012 Australia-wide Community Grant funding round will be open from Monday 2 July 2012 to Friday 27 July 2012.

Funding of up to $500,000 per annum has been awarded to our national partners to establish and maintain innovative and practical programs, for a period of up to three years.

Grant applications are submitted online.
