New CEO For 100-Year-Old NFP

Open Minds, a Not for Profit working in the mental health sector, has appointed Kristine Sargeant as its new chief executive.
Open Minds Chair Mike Gilmour said the new appointment would drive the organisation forward by implementing new strategic planning growth strategies and workforce development by building on the organisation’s 100 year history.
“We are delighted to welcome Ms Sargeant to lead our organisation and are extremely confident she is the right person to lead this organisation into the future,” Gilmour said .
“She brings 25 years of experience working in the Not for Profit sector, holding senior positions for a number of highly regarded New South Wales mental health and disability organisations.”
Sargeant said that she is excited to celebrate the centenary of the organisation this year and is excited for the future.
“We will continue to grow and play an active part in the community by providing more quality services to those who need it, while listening to the needs of those we help, to better shape our support,” she said.
Open Minds provides employment services and residential programs as well as mental illness and acquired brain injury lifestyle support services.
