Islamic Group Launches National Media Campaign

The first Muslim backed advertising campaign to appear on primetime television has been launched by Islamic Not for Profit MyPeace.
The group aims to address misconceptions about Islam, according to its website.
Based in Sydney, the group organises mosque tours, provides copies of the Qur"an and Islamic literature. The website handles any queries people may have about Islam.
According to media and marketing website Mumbrella the ad will run nationally on Prime from Wednesday, and on Nine and Seven from Saturday.
“This is the first time an Australian Muslim group has taken the initiative to bring Islam to the masses,” said MyPeace founder Diaa Mohamed. “We hope this campaign provides Australians with fact and insight around Islam.”
The previous advertisements run by the group in May courted controversy – with billboards in Sydney reading ‘Jesus – A Prophet of Islam.’
