NFP Event Management Courses - Special Offer

Not for Profits across of Australia are being offered short courses in event management to keep abreast of event trends and innovations – with a special offer for Pro Bono Australia readers.
From organising charity benefits and fundraisers, to staging launch events on minimal budgets, the Executive Certificate of Event Management has been recognised as a great resource for event managers in the Not for Profit sector.
In 2011, event managers, marketing professionals and executive assistants in Not for Profit organisations will be able to attend the internationally renowned course with a discount of 10% offered to participants working for charities in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
Hosted by the Australian Centre for Event Management (ACEM) based at the University of Technology in Sydney (UTS), organisers say the Executive Certificate is regarded as the most prestigious short-course in event management among prospective employers and industry leaders in government, corporate and Not for Profit organisations.
ACEM Director, Robert Harris says he’s delighted to be able to offer a discount of 10% to Pro Bono Australia readers who are employees of registered charities and hopes this incentive would improve the skills set and performance of these organisations.
Harris says that for the Not for Profit sector particularly, it is important to keep abreast of the latest trends in event management and innovations that can help minimise their costs and create an excellent end result without huge investment.
With the first intake of students commencing in Sydney on 19 April, this year’s courses will be taught over two units; Event Management and Marketing, and Event Operations, with each taking place over a period of three days.
The courses are held in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth and will be delivered through a mix of lectures, class exercises and case studies from some of Australia’s most experienced event industry experts.
