The Stanford Australia Foundation, with the support of the Dyson Bequest, is calling for applications for the 2011 Stanford Australia Foundation Nonprofit Scholarship.
The SAF scholarship provides the opportunity for an Australian Not for Profit executive or senior manager to attend the two-week Executive Program for Non Profit Leaders at Stanford’s Centre for Social Innovation in Pala Alto, California.
William Bonney, Chief Operations Officer of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, attended Stanford as a recipient of the scholarship in 2009.
Bonney says the program was stimulating and engaging, and he thoroughly enjoyed interacting with some of the world’s great minds focusing on generating social capital. Bonney says he came away with clarity and direction and a plethora of best practice leadership models to apply to his professional and personal life.
The scholarship covers all expenses including tuition, airfares, transfers and meals.
The Stanford Australia Foundation’s mission is to enable more Australians to share the experience of a Stanford education for the benefit of the Australian community.
The deadline for applications for the March 2011 scholarship is 19 October, 2010.
