Foundation Partnership to Develop 'Perfect' Vision

A ‘Perfect’ Australian partnership is set to save children’s sight in a global mission – laser surgery expert, Perfect Vision has partnered with The Fred Hollows Foundation.

Both the Not for Profit and the corporate agree that the famous phrase ‘an eye for an eye’ is given real meaning through this partnership.

Perfect Vision and The Fred Hollows Foundation say they have come up with a simple arrangement that will help produce results. For every eye treated with Perfect Vision’s iLasik procedure, a donation will be made to The Fred Hollows Foundation and its global mission to save children’s sight.

Dr. Con Moshegov, principal surgeon at Perfect Vision says the company is committed to giving back to the community and its annual donations are a great way to help a cause it is so passionate about.

Gabi Hollows, wife of Professor Fred Hollows and Founding Director of The Fred Hollows Foundation agrees saying the support of Perfect Vision which will help The Foundation improve the health and sight of children around the world.

The fundraising initiative, in which the $200 patient consultation fee is donation to the Foundation, is set to last for at least 12 months, however Perfect Vision says it plans to continue supporting The Fred Hollows Foundation into the future.

The laser vision correction and laser eye surgery company says the relationship came together when Perfect Vision approached The Fred Hollows Foundation in an effort to contribute more holistically to restoring sight internationally.

It says given the Foundation’s global reputation for restoring sight for the most disadvantaged communities, Perfect Vision saw no better partner in expanding its efforts.

The company says the negotiations took place over a number of months to ensure that the best outcome was achieved.

The Fred Hollows Foundation is an international development organisation, focussing on blindness prevention and Australian Indigenous health.
