Free Fuel for Australian Volunteers
20 April 2010 at 3:53 pm
BP Australia’s Vouchers for Volunteers program is on again, with Not for Profit volunteers offered the chance to apply for free fuel to help with volunteering work.
In 2009, BP provided over $250,000 worth of fuel vouchers to 5,000 volunteers from Not for Profit organisations across Australia, in a bid to help ease the financial burden associated with volunteering.
BP is again calling on Not for Profit volunteers who use a vehicle to undertake volunteering activities, to take part in the program.
Applications are open to permanent Australian residents who volunteer for a registered Not for Profit organisation dedicated to areas such as education, health and human service, arts and culture, community and the environment. Certain organisations are ineligible, including political and fraternal organisations, religious groups (unless activities are non-denominational and benefit the general public), and groups based on race, gender, belief or class.
Applications close at 5:00pm on 2 May 2010. Successful applicants will be notified and will appear on www.talkstoppedlongago.com.au by 30 June 2010.
