The Fundraising Institute of Australia (FIA) has signed a new 3-year principal sponsorship deal with global software provider for Not for Profits, Advanced Solutions International (ASI).
While FIA CEO, Chris McMillan wouldn’t reveal ASI’s financial commitment to the sponsorship she says it certainly underpins the FIA’s ability to provide professional development for Australian fundraisers which will be expanded under the new deal.
McMillan says the FIA also uses the ASI database platform to communicate and connect with its 1600 members. This is the second time round for ASI as principal sponsor of the FIA.
Paul Ramsbottom, Managing Director, ASI, Asia-Pacific says sponsoring the FIA is a natural fit for ASI, having exclusively worked with associations and charitable organisations for nearly 20 years.
Ramsbottom says the FIA does a fantastic job of supporting its members by providing career development opportunities and a network for them to come together to discuss and overcome key issues in the fundraising sector.
ASI’s flagship software product iMIS is used by over 280 Not for Profit organisations in the Asia Pacific region including Cancer Council Victoria, Australian Institute of Company Directors, National Breast Cancer Foundation and the Fundraising Institute of Australia.
McMillan says the support the FIA receives from sponsor partners is vital to continue hosting events and investigating trends and issues of significance for our members.
She says there are a number of exciting initiatives planned for the future and the FIA appreciates ASI’s support in helping to facilitate them.
The FIA has seven state and territory chapters for fundraising professionals. Each Chapter conducts a range of professional development activities and provides opportunities for mentoring and networking.
The FIA’s professional development programs include ‘Skills 123’, the Fundraising Management Diploma, ‘Madison Down Under’, FIA’s International Fundraising Conference, and co-ordination of the initial CFRE examination processes.
