Corporate Sponsorship Training for NFPs

Australian corporate sponsorship expert and author, Kim Skildum-Reid has launched the Sponsorship School to provide Not for Profits with Corporate Sponsorship Training and Coaching at no charge. The school is part of what she describes as "her quest to build best practice sponsorship skills in the charitable sector".
Skildum-Reid says the intensive, six-month program of corporate sponsorship training, coaching, and peer support was first run in 2003 for twelve people from six Sydney-based charities and it was very successful in building the revenue-raising capacity of both the participants and their organisations.
Skildum-Reid says technology has finally made it possible to do the Sponsorship School on a global scale.
In 2010, up to 15 charitable organisations will be chosen from the applicant pool to participate in the program, designed specifically to build capacity in the area of corporate sponsorship.
She says Sponsorship School provides every participating organisation with a monthly program of live webinars, professional coaching, homework, and peer support.
She says the value of this program to each organisation is estimated at US $10,000-12,000. It begins in late April and runs through September.
Skildum-Reid says while there is no cost for this program, she does expect a commitment. Sponsorship School has been developed as an open, safe environment for elevating skills and sharing challenges.
She says the composition of the group will be diverse with a mix of small, medium, and large organisations, as well as organisations from different regions and sectors (ie. arts, humanitarian, medical, etc).
