UK Guide to the 'How-To' of CSR

 The Doughty Centre for Corporate Responsibility at Cranfield School of Management in the UK has launched a new ‘How to do Corporate Responsibility’ guide with a difference.  The latest guide entitled "A guide to ‘How-to’ Guides" reviews over 60 practical, relevant and timely guides for practitioners in the field of corporate responsibility (CR).

Commenting on the guide, Director of the Doughty Centre, Professor David Grayson says it is a reference tool for busy managers who need well-researched and practical syntheses of ‘how-to’ do something within the field of CR.

Prof Grayson says they have been mapping what how-to guidance already exists so that they can focus their energies on filling the gaps. 

He says they have now decided that the work could also usefully be shared and therefore they have researched, screened, catalogued and now provided reviews of good existing practical guides that advise on ‘How-to’ do a specific task or challenge within CR.

The Centre says to be included  in the review, guides had to achieve the following criteria: Is it practical and relevant?; Is it easily accessible?; Is it up-to-date? The result, it says, is a comprehensive synthesis of good resources available for the CR practitioner.
