MCF Launches MacroMelbourne 2009

Melbourne Community Foundation is about to launch its second MacroMelbourne Report which looks at ways to keep Melbourne a liveable city for all its people.
The 2009 Report details statistics and provides a birds-eye view of where Melbourne is heading in 2030, highlighting areas of disadvantage and inequity.
MCF says it brings together current research, statistics and Government policy and identifying the resulting trends and challenges.
The report prepared by John Wiseman and Belinda Robson through the McCaughey Centre and the University of Melbourne for MCF will highlight philanthropic investment, focusing on Melbourne’s urban growth areas.
The new report refreshes the 2006 MacroMelbourne document.
The new report will also highlight 14 grass roots projects in partnership with community organisations covering issues ranging from community transport, migrant employment, juvenile justice, Indigenous education, disability services and energy-efficient living.
The launch will take place on Tuesday December 1 at 1030-1130am at the Eureka Tower, Level 89, 7 Riverside Quay, Southbank.
