Inaugural Queensland Leadership Program

An strong line-up of CEOs, senior executives and high calibre individuals from across Queensland’s corporate, government and community sectors has been chosen by The Benevolent Society’s Social Leadership Australia to take part in the inaugural Queensland Leadership Program.
The list of twenty five professionals includes representatives from across the environment, health, human services, finance, justice and public service sectors who will work together over the next ten months to learn what it means to exercise leadership in these challenging times.
Ian Boardman, Director of Queensland Leadership says the Program is a ground-breaking initiative which will help shape the future of the State.
Boardman says it is the result of a vision to create a network of like minded, well-connected and driven people who will make a real difference in their own communities, organisations and spheres of influence over the next ten to twenty years.
Based on the award-winning Sydney Leadership Program, which is now in its eleventh year, Boardman says the Queensland Leadership Program is unlike any other program available in the State, giving people in positions of influence an exciting opportunity to access an innovative, Harvard-inspired, leadership development model and promoting collaboration across the corporate, government and community sectors to tackle tough social issues.

The 2009 Queensland Leadership Program was launched in Brisbane on Thursday 10 September.
