Women Getting Into Boards - Australian Survey
9 June 2009 at 4:25 pm

The Centre for Leadership for Women (CLW) in Australia believes the issue of women getting into boards gains the limelight now and again, but remains unresolved and an issue of frustration for many women.

The founder of CLW Diann Rodgers-Healey is about to embark on a national and international survey to explore the problems women experience getting into Boards in public and private organisations and the resources needed to enable women to succeed in attaining board positions.

Why are women not being selected for board appointments? How can women, if they choose to develop their leadership aspirations through directorships, prepare themselves and gain entry into these positions? What is not happening for this inequity to be overturned? These are just some of the questions that will be canvassed in the research.

Taking part is as simple as filling out CLW’s Women Getting into Boards Survey online

Participants do not need to be a member of CLW to fill in this survey as it is available in the non-member’s section.
Please click on the link www.leadershipforwomen.com.au

The Survey will close on 12 August 2009 and the evaluated results will form a Report that will be available freely through CLW and will be used to lobby relevant organisations to listen to the issues that emerge and note useful strategies for overturning the situation.
