The Economic Downturn and Demand for Third Sector Services
22 June 2009 at 5:28 pm

Charities and giving research group Givewell is studying the effect of the financial crisis on the demands for Third Sector services in Australia with a new online survey.

Givewell’s last survey, released in March this year, confirmed the sector is experiencing its first drop in fundraising in over ten years.

The new survey, Demand for services – how is the global economic downturn impacting on the demand for the services of Australian charities? aims to explore the impact of the recession on the demand for services provided by the third sector.

Givewell hopes the survey’s results will form an important management tool as charities consider their plans into 2010.

Givewell are calling on all charities (of any type and size) to take part in the survey
