Infoxchange MeasureIT Reviews NFP Technology

Infoxchange has launched MeasureIT to assess the communication technology needs of small to medium sized community service organisations – at no cost to these groups.
MeasureIT aims to advise small to medium-sized community organisations on their information communication technology needs; and to provide recommendations for each organisation to make more efficient and effective use of technology.
As part of the initiative, MeasureIT technicians will visit participating organisations and conduct a comprehensive assessment of their current ICT systems. The technicians, IT specialists who work in the Not for Profit sector, will provide organisations with a report with practical recommendations for better use of ICT.
MeasureIT is a joint initiative between Infoxchange and the Victorian Department of Human Services, and will enable DHS to better understand the ICT needs of smaller community service organisations. The resulting report will inform a new statewide ICT strategy for the delivery of services to small and medium-sized community service organisations.
Jayvita Suddoo from Infoxchange says that so far 75 organisations have taken up the offer, and she hopes that this number will be at least doubled by the end of the study.
Suddoo says that to qualify for the program organisations must be funded by the Victorian Department of Human Services, be based in Victoria, have fewer than ten full time employees and an operating budget of less than $750,000. While there is no set closing date for the program, Suddoo expects the program to run for another 6 weeks.
