Queensland University of Technology is offering its industry-recognised Graduate Certificate in Business (Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies) as an opportunity for career acceleration in the philanthropic and nonprofit sector. QUT’s program is an opportunity for participants to strengthen their management capabilities and fortify their credentials as a specialist in the philanthropic and nonprofit sector.
The program offers the opportunity to learn from lecturers who are leaders in research relevant to the field; and have real world experience and current engagement in the philanthropic and nonprofit sector through QUT’s Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies (CPNS).
The program allows participants to build their professional knowledge and skills in focal nonprofit topics, including governance, management, ethical practices, legal issues, fundraising, accounting, and marketing.
The course is aimed at equipping participants with the skills to unravel the mysteries of fundraising and alternative income generation. Graduates from the program will have learnt skills to build sustainable governance; master risk; comprehend tax exemptions, deductions and nonprofit corporate structures; tame management and financial accounts; as well as managing staff and volunteers ethically.
