International CSR Expert Down Under

A founding member of the UK’s Business in the Community (BITC) and international expert on CSR, David Grayson is about to visit Australia and share 25 years of knowledge on engaging business.
Grayson’s visit is being hosted by Australia/Melbourne Cares and The Australian Charities Fund and will speak at special events in both Melbourne and Sydney.
Business in the Community (BITC) is the largest and one of the oldest business-led coalitions promoting responsible business around the world.
It is celebrating its Silver Jubilee (25 years) in 2007. David Grayson CBE has been associated with BITC from its earliest stages. He is a former Managing Director and remains a part-time Director.
David is also currently a visiting Senior Fellow at the prestigious Kennedy School of Government, Harvard, USA. On behalf of BITC and as part of his Fellowship, he is interviewing a range of senior British politicians, top business leaders, community and public sector partners, leading opinion-formers as well as present and former BITC employees in order to distil "what has BITC learnt in 25 years of engaging business?"
Grayson’s "Jubilee Paper" will be published at the BITC / Ethical Corporation annual conference in May, 2007.
During his visit to Australia he will share the emerging learning about engaging businesses and potential lessons for initiatives in Australia.
Grayson will cover:
– Five fundamentals of success: leadership, partnership, apprenticeship, showmanship and entrepreneurship.
– How BITC has attracted and retained the active involvement of top business leaders of 75% of the FTSE 100 companies.
