Salvos Stores throughout the NSW, ACT and Queensland are celebrating their 120th birthday this November with the unveiling of a range of new retail products.
The growing range of products is set to complement their recycled goods with the Salvos hoping to create a point of difference from most other recycled goods businesses and Op Shops.
The new product range includes linen, towels, accessories, toilet & facial tissues, laundry detergent and other personal care products. A special range of Christmas gift ideas has been included as well.
The General Manager of Salvos Stores, Neville Barrett says this extra income provides additional funding for the overall Mission of The Salvation Army, especially the much needed fund during Christmas.
Barrett says the aim is to encourage new consumers into the stores.
Marketing Manager, Freddy Choo says many of the products are ‘end of line’ items and so the Salvos shops can offer them at great prices.
He says the Salvos good standing in the community has meant that he has been able to make some very lucrative deals with product suppliers to benefit the community.
