E-book for Events and Relationship Marketing

A new e-book aimed at putting ‘special’ back into special events has be launched that will assist Not for Profits looking for a creative edge.

Called Extraordinary Events: Attracting and retaining your most valuable customers it offers the techniques, tricks of the trade, exercises, and case studies – from great to groan-worthy – that will help elevate the event experience for businesses but translates well for donors or potential corporate partners.
.
It is written by Simon Baggs, a leading authority on creating events that break the mould and it is the newest book from Power Sponsorship Publishing, a specialist publisher for the sponsorship and event industries.

Extraordinary Events also features a foreword by Kim Skildum Reid, co-author of sponsorship industry bestsellers, The Sponsor’s Toolkit and The Sponsorship Seeker’s Toolkit.

The publishers say the book will raise a lot of questions for those who are currently running relationship marketing programs through events. It may well raise issues not previously thought of and help the creative aspect of events, as well as help guard against some unseen threats and weaknesses.

The legal and logistical ramifications of staging events are changing, too. Event managers must not be caught out by failing to provide proper types of insurance or by failing to have adequate Occupational Health and Safety (or OSHA as it is called in the US) measures in place.

Some of the checklists and prompters within the book can help identify where an organisation may be at risk.

There are links and references from around the world for further, localised, information. This book provides answers to many of the event related questions that companies and organisations have, and it also points out many of the benefits and pitfalls, which may as yet not have entered the equation.

The 86 page e-book is only available in PDF format, optimised for both printing and on-screen viewing. It can be downloaded only from Power Sponsorship – www.powersponsorship.com (775 kb) for AU $33.00. Payment is accepted by credit card only. Transactions are encrypted and protected by SSL technology.
