2005 CSR Summit - Book Now! - Advertorial

Philanthropy is not enough when it comes to Corporate Social Responsibility.

Philanthropy, work place giving programs and corporate community investment are indeed admirable and certainly contribute to employees feeling good about the organisation they work for, however in this highly competitive global market place, business and the Not-For-Profit sector must learn that real social responsibility comes in the decisions they make each and every day in every aspect of their business – not just in how and to whom they distribute their money.

Australia’s Inaugural CSR Summit Nov 30 – Dec 2 (www.csrsummit.com) promises to lift the veil on CSR and show how and why CSR is the number one business driver for success in today’s highly competitive global marketplace and the key to sustainability.

It will also highlight the need and importance for CSR to be claimed and imbedded by the Not for Profit sector as well.

The NFP sector has much to gain from a CSR framework from more structured and effective stakeholder relations through to improved reporting – bringing greater transparency and confidence from donors and sponsors. Education in this area will also alert NFPs to the ever changing and demanding needs of the corporate sector. No longer are corporate benefits just branding, sales, reputation building and hospitality.

Today, NFP’s have to fully understand how to engage sponsors staff and external stakeholders in a way that is meaningful. This is not easy to achieve if you do not understand the strategic drivers of CSR.

As Summit keynote speaker Lord Michael Hastings, Head of the BBC’s CSR Division was quoted in last weeks Age “Companies that have started the serious journey of responsible leadership find the rewards compelling. Some have learned to serve as well as strive. Some have learned that truth is a safer standard than deceit and that in giving, great returns are rewarded … some have learned to buy and sell with a conscience; to search for better ways to protect the poor and the environment that kicks back at the rich as much as the poor. Some have learned that people are an asset, a real investment, a great resource and ultimately, the only safe route to sustainable profitability. Some have learned. Now Australia’s business tigers must learn, too. Failure only leads to extinction”.

Are you willing to face extinction by not attempting to understand the frameworks that sit around CSR? Or are you now ready to register now to learn how to keep your organisation at the fore front of your industry?

Join over 50 specialist speakers from the UK, US, Canada and Australia as we take you through the steps and processes to help you build a more robust and profitable organisation through a CSR framework.

The program includes workshops, case studies and presentations on marketing, the importance of values in driving compliance and risk management, greening the supply chain, environmental management, health and well-being, human resources, work life balance, how to assess the effectiveness of non profit organisations, volunteering, the benefits of indigenous employment, how to achieve effective corporate community investment, effective communication, measurement and reporting, strategy and performance evaluation, understanding diversity, how to increase innovation and problem solving – and much much more!

Come for a day, two days, dinner, a cocktail party or the full three-day program.
