If you’ve had a great direct marketing campaign or you are looking for a way to honour the volunteers in your organisation, there are two new award programs calling for nominations that can help.
They are The National Australia Bank’s National Volunteer Awards and the Australian Direct Marketing Associations 2003 ADMA Awards. But get your thinking caps on because nominations close at the end of the month!
The NAB’s Volunteer awards are in their sixth year and offer cash awards totalling a record $500,000. This year sees the introduction of a “Peoples Choice Award’ where community members vote on their favourite Community Volunteer group online!
These Awards help raise the profile of important community causes by acknowledging the outstanding work of volunteers in vital areas.
The NAB says this year there is a simplified nomination process and new nomination categories. Nominations close on 1st August 2003. For a nomination form go to www.national.com.au or call the National Volunteer Awards helpdesk on 1800 807 121 during business hours.
The Australian Direct Marketing Association Awards are said to be the largest and most prestigious event of this kind in the country- and they offer a Not for Profit category.
The aim of the Awards is to turn marketing ideas into reality and offers a charity/fundraising category for Not for Profit organisations that show direct marketing effectiveness.
The chairman of the ‘effectiveness’ judging, Ian Bennett says this year there will be a greater focus on the degree of difficulty in achieving results.
