IAG Community Help Grants

Community Help is a new grants program open to community groups nationally in support of projects that minimise risk – building better communities through injury prevention, crime prevention initiatives and emergency rescue services.

The program was initiated by employees of Insurance Australia Group (IAG) who felt that local community organisations need more support from business.

Insurance Australia Group is Australasia’s leading general insurance group and is the parent company of some of Australia and New Zealand’s leading insurers, including NRMA Insurance, SGIO and SGIC.

The new Community Help program will inject more than $400,000 to further help communities reduce risk, with individual grants ranging from $500 to $5000.

Applications close on 4 April 2003. Further information and application forms are available on the following websites:

NSW, ACT, NT, Tas and Qld NRMA Insurance at www.nrma.com/grants
WA: SGIO at www.sgio.com.au/grants.
SA: SGIC at www.sgic.com.au/grants
