Brisbane and Sydney will be the locations for one–day seminars in March to help organisations large and small to establish a Major Gifts program.
The seminars will be presented by Michael H Westerman from the UK award winning consultancy, Midas Partnership, and Evelyn Mason CFRE of Evelyn Mason & Associates based in Sydney.
Evelyn Mason says using internationally recognised Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM) concepts, participants will forge strong ties with major gift donors.
Mason says the concept of running an organisation around donors (Donor Relationship Marketing) is new, exciting and challenging. The three core principles examined are: people, process and technology.
Mason says the seminars are timely for fundraisers as the competition for donations intensifies.
But the seminar is more than just theory. Mason will outline the steps organisations need to go through when planning their Major Gifts program. This will be a practical guide of how to get started.
She says the seminars will change the participants, their organisations and their structures; and most importantly the participants will benefit from the interactive discussions that will take place between participants from the organisations of various sizes that are wanting to establish Major Gifts Programs.
Michael H Westerman has been involved in fundraising worldwide for some 30 years. His Midas Partnership won the prestigious Millennium Award for best UK consultancy and in recent years has been involved in campaigns worth over 15 million pounds sterling.
Evelyn Mason has worked with some of Australia’s largest and smallest Not for Profits over her 13 years in fundraising and has worked on several award-winning fundraising programs during that time.
The Brisbane seminar will be held on Monday 3rd March 2003 at the State Library of Queensland. The Sydney event will be Wednesday 5th March 2003 at the St. Vincent de Paul Society offices in Lewisham.
