IT Students Offer Free Work in 2002
29 April 2002 at 1:04 pm
Melbourne University’s final year IT students are again offering their free services to Not for Profits as part of their “Making It Work for You” project.
The industry project involves a team of students working on IT related projects for your organisation, at no charge, as part of their coursework within the final year of their degree.
Last year, through Pro Bono Australia, the project generated an enormous response and the Department of Information Services is calling for your proposals to run in the second semester.
Some of the PBA projects generated last year were carried out for the Salvation Army, CERES, and the Macfarlane Burnett Centre for Medical Research.
Proposals of no longer than 150 words may be sent to Louisa Wilson in the Department of Information Services at louisaw@unimelb.edu.au. The submission deadline is 3pm Friday May 17th, 2002.
For examples of previous projects, proposal requirements and project related information, please check out the web site at www.dis.unimelb.edu.au/project.
You can also contact Louisa Wilson by telephone Monday to Wednesday on 03 8344 9237.
