Corporate Community partnerships do have their rewards when organisations like Anglicare can quantify business support to the general public.
Anglicare NSW delivered over 4,500 hampers to families in need at Christmas, following the outstanding community response to its Christmas Appeal and Toys ‘n’ Tucker campaign.
The charity packed more hampers than ever before and has had its Christmas resources substantially increased, following the generous response to the appeals.
Over 270 businesses and a record number of schools and churches took part in Anglicare’s food and toy drive, Toys ‘n’ Tucker, literally raising a warehouse full of food and toys.
Anglicare says the community response to its Christmas Appeal for cash donations has also boosted the charity’s ability to help families. While donations continue to be gathered and processed, a substantial increase has already been registered.
Dearne Cameron, Anglicare’s General Manager of Communications says Anglicare is most humbled and grateful to all of Sydney for the amazing response to the Christmas Appeal and Toys ‘n’ Tucker,
Over 150 volunteers collectively spent 2,502 hours packing the hampers over a three-week period, a gift valued at $40,032.00.
A pat on the back all round!
