If you are looking for new ideas on writing funding proposals, developing strategic partnerships and understanding how funding bodies think, work and make decisions, then the latest Training Up seminar in Melbourne is for you.
Genevieve Timmons is the key presenter for this seminar. She has run hundreds of training sessions and appraised thousands of funding proposals. Timmons brings insights and proposes strategies based on 20 years of experience, working on both sides of the table, as a successful grant seeker and also as an executive with several Australian philanthropic foundations.
Participants in previous seminars have spoken widely of their value with comments such as “I’ve been writing submissions for years, this seminar has given me a whole new approach”, “this is the best workshop I have ever done” to “it’s increased my confidence, now I understand the how and why”.
Timmons says this latest seminar is an opportunity to sharpen skills, hear from the experts on funding options and new communication techniques and see examples of the do’s and don’ts of writing funding proposals. Included in this intensive one-day seminar are practical exercises on designing projects that make a difference, while also refining ideas and approaches.
Guest presenters are expert in communication skills and building corporate partnerships. Representatives are also invited from Philanthropy Australia Perpetual Trustees, The Potter Foundation, The Myer Foundation and the Reichstein Foundation. The Melbourne seminar is on the following dates: Wednesday August 29th, Thursday September 6th and Tuesday October 30th.
The full fee is $420 plus GST, with a special Robin Hood Discount Rate of $350 plus GST for small organisations. With support from the Myer Foundation, bursaries are also available for low budget and voluntary nonprofits to attend.
