Pro Bono Australia's latest offerings
2 April 2001 at 1:04 pm
Whilst many of you have been receiving the Pro Bono Australia newsletter for a while now and are abreast of the macro issues affecting the sector, we thought it time for a behind the scenes update of the other offerings and activities that Pro Bono Australia has been working on.
As always we have been looking to develop projects that deliver tremendous benefits to Not for Profit organisations. It is awfully hard to find projects that have win-win outcomes, but that is what we have been striving for – and achieved. We have developed a Resource Guide for Not for Profit organisations.
Listed in this guide are organisations wishing to service Not for Profits in some way – whether it be by providing pro bono legal services, funding or by providing paid mailhouse facilities.
Whichever is the case, the directory will be a valuable reference tool for Not for Profits wishing to source products or services or funding.
The list of categories and organisations is huge. The Guide will be distributed by mail free of charge to 20,000 individuals within organisations across Australia in July this year.
If you have a supplier or organisation that you think should be listed contact probono@probonoaustalia.com.au
Our Skilled Volunteer matching program has been a huge success as we have placed over 50 Young Professionals with financial expertise into Not for Profit organisations.
Our partner in this project, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, are keen to investigate the opportunities to continue this scheme after the pilot run and shortly roll out nationally.
Our web site polls and forums are getting good responses as we post issues for your review.
We are delighted with Pro Bono Australia’s development and hope that you are getting as much value out of our offerings as we have pleasure in providing them to you.
Regards,
Karen Mahlab
