The Organisation

Muscular Dystrophy New South Wales (MDNSW) exists to empower, connect and support people with neuromuscular conditions, their families and carers.  They do this via the delivery of children’s camps, peer support programs, retreats, skill development programs, NDIS plan support coordination, community access and advocacy.
  
MDNSW raise awareness and provide specialised information through e-news, web presence, by hosting an annual neuromuscular information and research day and strongly advocating for the neuromuscular community.
  

The Role

This position is responsible for the effective delivery and coordination of MDNSW support services and programs. You will also provide leadership and guidance to the service delivery staff to provide funded and fee for service support and care coordination.
  
Specifically, you will:

  • Plan, schedule, and deliver MDNSW programs and services
  • Ensure appropriate resourcing including personnel, equipment and budget for optimal service delivery
  • Work with the leadership team to identify funding opportunities and build cases of support
  • Enhance customer experience and provide insight to program development for future growth
  • Provide evaluation and impact reporting on programs and services

  
Skills and Experience

With a leadership background in health, allied health, or the community sector, you have experience leading teams in the delivery of programs and services. You have a leadership style that empowers a team culture of performance, collaboration and respect.

You additionally have;

  • Familiarity and understanding of the NDIS quality standards and their application
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar people leadership role
  • Ability to think strategically, be innovative and improve business performance
  • Tertiary qualifications in an allied health, social work or a relevant discipline
  • Lived experience is highly regarded
