Reporting to the CEO, The Manager – Operations will be responsible for a whole-of-organisation, client-centric approach to achieving Fina’s Balanced Scorecard of Quality, Client, Corporate and Staff.

- maintaining up-to-date current knowledge and trends with regard to disability services;
- be responsible for financial sustainability of Supported Independent Living (SIL) Services by ensuring viability (in the context of financial changes made by the NDIS) and adherence to budgets);
- be committed to the principles of continuous improvement – research, education and adherence to the highest quality standards as set by Fina;
- be responsible for the day-to-day management and mentoring of Service Delivery Managers, Area Coordinators and frontline staff;
- be responsible for engaging with and securing feedback from all stakeholders regarding all aspects of service delivery to ensure informed reviews and strategic improvement;
- be responsible for the identification and realisation of business development opportunities;
- be responsible for implementation of client-centric systems and processes to ensure maximum choice and control according to NDIS, Quality and Safeguarding Standards;
- maintain an appropriate balance between of dignity-of-risk vs duty-of-care requirements in program implementation;
- ensure support ratios and rostering requirements are met;
- ensure all staff members receive ongoing training in disability matters, including but not limited to understanding and upholding clients’ human rights.
Criteria
- tertiary qualifications, in Social Work, Psychology, Disability Services or a related field;
- demonstrated superior understanding of SIL practices and procedures;
- extensive knowledge and understanding of NDIS and other disability sector and new innovation funding;
- demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of programs for people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities;
- high-level knowledge and understanding of policies, procedures and standards in the disability services sector;
- demonstrated ability to merge with and function cooperatively in an established executive team;
- high-level management and leadership skills and experience;
- demonstrated experience in supporting and mentoring “direct reports”
- demonstrated capacity to understand and enhance systems and performance;
- demonstrated capacity to:
- think innovatively
- effect change
- shape a positive workplace culture and
- create a flexible responsive and productive workplace environment.
